How to Sand a Wooden Floor - Page 1Now it's time to start sanding the floors.Begin by attaching the dust bag to the sander. Lift the handle as high as it goes on the sander so that the sanding drum is not in contact with the floor. Then lift the protective cover so that you can see the sanding drum and then slide on the sanding belt. To sand wooden floors begin with grit 60 paper. Old floorboards of pine for example are usually rather uneven and make it necessary to begin with a coarser paper. Choose grit 40 paper. |
Check that the sanding drum is in the up position before inserting the plug into a socket outlet. The outlet should be protected by a fuse of at least 10 amps. Always use an earth leakage circuit breaker.
