How to Sand a Wooden Floor - Page 2Start sanding.Begin along the long stretch of wall and work from left to right. Move forward. Continue until you are almost at the wall. Lift the handle so that the drum no longer touches the floor, move back slightly and carefully lower the drum again whilst moving. Continue sanding in the same way on the way back. Sand the rest of the floor by walking back and forth with the sander in this fashion. Overlap the previously sanded area by a couple of centimetres when sanding forward again. Never stand still with the drum in the down position, or you will leave unsightly marks on the floor. Sanding Wooden Floors - Page 3 |
Note that you have to sand with different belt grits. First sand using a grit 60, second sand use grit 80, third sanding use grit 100 and finally sand using 120 grit for a fine finish. |
