How to Sand a Wooden Floor - Page 7If the sawdust from the edge sander's dust bag is not enough, you can use the sawdust from the drum sander. Afterwards, do a fine sanding with the drum sander and grit 120 sanding paper. Sand the edges as well. Parquet floors are sanded along the length of the room. Use grit 40, 80, and 120 sandpaper. Floorboards and uneven parquet floors are sanded diagonally with grit 24 and 40. Then they are sanded along the grain of the wood with grit 80 and 120. The floor is now sanded. If you want an even better surface, do an additional sanding. Use a polishing machine and a grit 150 sanding screen. |
